Working mechanism of Search Engines
A search engine indexes the websites according to the relevance and quality of a website into its database. A search engine spider or crawler finds the websites one-by-one and link by link. Once the search engine spiders found a website, they index this website according to the content and relevancy of a website.
Web owners also submit their website into search engine so that search engine spiders can crawl their website. This submission is known as search engine submission.
When you type a keyword in a search engine, then the search engine looks into its database so that it can find the relevant information. When the search engine finds the relevant site matching with the criteria specified by you, then the search engine returns the most relevant pages to you.
Search engine spiders regularly go through the websites and check the URLs indexed in search engine to look for any updates in URLs.
Working mechanism of a search engine varies from one search engine to another and so the results vary from search engine to search engine.
